Fairtrade and Traidcraft

Fairtrade Fairtrade is an international movement which seeks to guarantee farmers a fair and stable price for their products. It allows poor communities an opportunity to improve their lives, including healthcare, schooling and a more sustainable environment. Currently 5 million producers and their farmers supply the Fairtrade products we buy.

Fairtrade was established in 1979 as a Christian response to poverty.

Traidcraft is the UK’s leading fair trade organisation.

Traidcraft’s mission is to fight poverty, practising and promoting approaches to trade that help poor people in developing countries transform their lives.

The Our Lady of Grace usually has a Traidcraft after the first Sunday Mass of each month., see dates in the newsletter.
