The 2023 annual Caritas Assembly with the SVP, Saturday 4th November at St Mary’s church, Derby. Parishioners and SVP members are warmly invited to a day to help put faith into action and reach out to the community. The gathering starts at 10.00am with Mass celebrated by Bishop Patrick. During the day the keynote speaker is Alessandra Sciarra, SVP’s parliamentary adviser, and afternoon workshops will focus on mental health, supporting refugees, offering hospitality and greening the parish. Join Caritas, the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul and Catholics from around the diocese to discover Christ in those in need, deepen our discipleship and build a more just and peaceful world.
