The Children’s Liturgy Group

Childrens Liturgy The parish has a thriving children’s liturgy group. We hold sessions every Sunday in term time during the Mass. Children start in mass and are then dismissed by the priest after the opening prayer.

The liturgy group gives children an opportunity to learn about the gospel at their level. We have two groups:

  • Preschool group (for 3-4 year olds). Parents should accompany their children in this session.
  • School age group (for Foundation to Communion aged children). Parents should stay in mass as the children are accompanied by helpers.

Want to get involved in the group as a leader or helper?

  • Leader – you can lead sessions with preschool and/or school-age children on a rota basis (typically once every two months). We have lots of resources to help you and can offer mentoring to get you started.
  • Helper – you would help the leader to set up before and support the leader during the session. Full instructions are provided.
